the right perspective

Though misfortune plagues your present path, take hope;! its passing is sure. The river passes through ruff rocks, bubbling white with agitation, to undisturbed calm. The Autumn flowers pass from the icy sting of night's frost to the glorious warmth of the morning sun.

We too, are part of this cosmic dance of extremes: surging, calming, only to surge again. We, however, can emphasis one or the other extreme, thus coloring in a perspective for the movements, either positive or negative.

The river and the fall flowers completely accept the rocks and the frost with the same attitude as they accept the calm and the heat. Their perspective comes from the acceptance and harmonizing with the continuous cycling of the extremes. Their emphasis is on steadiness, adjustment, and recovery.
